US Soldier Held By Taliban Seen Alive On Recent Footage
Afghanistan – A US soldier who was captured by the Taliban over 18 months ago has recently appeared in a video, proving that he is still alive.
Spc. Bowe Bergdahl, is seen clearly in the video which comes from a production house that is linked to the Taliban but it is unclear as to when the footage was shot. A spokesman for the family, Col. Timothy Marsano has confirmed the identity of the soldier in the video to be Bowe.
One of Bowe’s old colleagues from a coffee house that he used to work in before being drafted to Afghanistan was relieved to hear the news that he could still be alive. “We are very relieved to know that Bowe is alive,” said Cory Ruch.
According to reports, Paktia Mujahadeen had captured the soldier and that he has ‘all Islamic rights’ and is currently within the custody of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan. The video footage had ended up in the hands of ‘Intelcenter’ who are accustomed to keeping tabs on known militant groups.
According to the think-tank group who are based in Virginia, some of the video contained unseen footage as well as other scenes that they were already aware of.
